i'm unsure, but it seems the spec written on this page is incorrect for this laptop...i thought it was 8gb ram?...anyways, i love this laptop so far...have it for about over 2 weeks now...i researched and got a lot of good reviews on it...

Instead of buying this N53SM-DS71, you should look at the N53SM-ES72 which has mostly the same specs except for a better display (15.6" 1920x1080 anti-glare/matte). At the time of writing this review, it's cheaper as well.
ASUS N53SM-ES72 15.6-Inch Laptop (Silver Aluminum)

The primary issue with this N53SM-DS71 instead of the ES72 is that the DS71's display is 15.6" with 1366x768 resolution.

Such a low resolution in a 15.6" display imposes a big limiting factor on multitasking and productivity because it makes things onscreen large, and the resolution itself makes it difficult to fit more than one window onscreen comfortably. Additionally, 15.6" displays that have 1366x768 resolution tend to exhibit low contrast and thus have very poor image quality.
